Moodle tip: bringing in an outside webpage
I have just learnt another cool little Moodle trick from Stephen Digby (thanks
Stephen!). You can bring in a website from outside your Moodle and
have it display in an active frame. You just have to encolse the URL
in a little HTML. e.g.:
iframe
width="800"height="600"src=http://(insert your
webaddress here)/"></iframe
So when you look at your HTML it will look appear like:
iframe width="800"height="600"src=http://http://allinbitsandpieces.blogspot.com/"></iframe
Try it in your moodle space (this blog doesn't recognise the html)
and let me know how you go or if you have another moodle tip to share.

Reflecting on 2008, looking forward to 2009
As we gear up towards a very full and busy 2009, why
not reflect on the year that was? Strap on a headset with mic, and
log into edna and visit the VoxPops Group to answer the question:
What were some of the powerful lessons you've learned this year
regarding what technology can do to support both teachers and
learners?
AND/OR
Looking forward to 2009, what do you
hope to learn and achieve?
Don't forget to introduce yourself by name,
location and role so we can all get to know each other
a little better. After that's what it is all about isn't it?
Make sure you get in there by the 27th of January 2009
because the finished podcast will be published on the 30th of
January 2009. Also make sure that your message is no longer
than 2 minutes.
If you have dificulties leaving a voice message, visit the group to find out about other ways to have your say.
We look forward to hearing from you!

During this time it may be possible to access your Group, but unlikely that you will be able to contribute to forums etc.
This upgrade applies to all 1500 groups which currently accommodate 20,000 members. At the end of the process we will have upgraded to Moodle 1.9.1
We apologise for any inconvenience that this might cause, but are excited about the opportunities the upgrade will allow.
If, after the upgrade, you experience difficulties, please email groups@edna.edu.au , or contact the Professional Learning and Online Communities team at edna on (08) 8334 3210 and ask for Lynley Clark, Kerry Johnson or myself.
