A few thoughts about the conference

On the whole, a stimulating one for this troll,

The standout, for me, was Rhys, a seious young man with more talant than his confidence would allow him to expose. He was the closest to what i consider will be this new industry - interactive media. The rest, old habits dying hard,  were revolving around different (and cheaper) ways to replicate the old broadcast approach. Viacomp must be having a wonderful time of helping silos plug into Akamai to do globally what is now  usually a National obsession.

Wish that i could have introduced Rhys to Rob from Centerlink = an engineer meeting a creative is always fun. Such a pity that a collegiate approach is so impossible to cultivate when there is no media which centres around these types of emphemeral learning experiences.

Still, at least we know the (gov.au) Single Sign on is done now and centred around Rob's apps as a door to seven agencies (maybe more). And AGOSP is an acronym which might hit the silotic headlines this year, (after 7 years of waiting). Now all we have to contend with is seeing how long it takes for a brave bureaucratic to say "yes, talking about the next steps is OK". Until then.
