Hey im Kim Whyte
Im in second year at uni doing Early Childhood education and Arts.
This year iv been doing my placement at a child care but in the future
i want to work within a school setting!
How technology has change (my view):
Thereââ¬â¢s no doubt that
technology has change in a huge way (for good
reasons but also for not so good reasons in my view anyway). I myself
use a lot of technology everyday, internet along with my phone are the
main ones as high school and now uni relies on the internet for
information for assignment etc. and plus my phone keeps me in contact
with my mates. Technology can entertain a person for hours. It is a
great tool that has expanded immensely. But the reasons that are not
so good about technology is that children are using these (phones are
my main concern) as a lot of you already have commented on, they are
just children, they should be playing outside and not sitting around
talking on the phone or listening to music or on the computer. I donââ¬â¢t
think there is any reason for primary school students to have
phones!!!! Even though it is a safely tool as the parents should know
where there child is and the child should be somewhere around an adult
anyway, and this adult would have a phone for (the parent) to contact
them on. I also donââ¬â¢t think it is appropriate for a primary school
child to have a phone at school Iââ¬â¢m not really sure why they would
need it, iv heard somewhere i think it was on the radio they were
talking about this topic and a parent said they like there child to
have a phone at school so when they go on excursions they can ring if
for pick up times etc. even after that i still didnââ¬â¢t agree with
phones at school (primary) as i believe that the parent can always
contact the teacher or front desk to find out the class arrival time
back at school. But yeah this is just what i believe.
