confessions of a lifelong learner
Lectio Divina - September 2009
A very interesting seminar on 11 September 2009 at the Catholic Education Office. Karl A Schultz from the USA took us through the simple but incredibly useful process of Lectio Divina - reflective reading of the scriptures. Karl showed us how this technique, originating in the Dominican tradition within the Religious life, can be usefully adapted for adult prayer groups and school groups of all ages. He also challenged me to be more reflective about my own reading of scripture, and to prepare more intentially by reading and reflecting on the readings before attending Mass.
