I am still questioning my question! Can Prep/Oness handle Power Point or am I aiming too high?
At the end of this project: I want all of my children to have participated in creating and presenting a power point page. My vision is that children will work cross grade to choose a body part, research, use power point to create a mini production about what they have learnt, including photos, voice recording and draw pictures. I then would like to share these with our parents and wider school community.
Why Body Parts You Ask: We are just beginning a 6 week learning
sequence about the Healthy Foods and Helathy Bodies so the topic fits
into my current classroom program and will provide an extension for
those who are advanced in ICT to show their skills and help others.
Prior Knowledge: My class has a 40 minute ICT lesson each week where they are learning the skills required to log on, find folder on the desk top, save etc. Some of them are quite good. They can help others (without doing it for them) and explain by direction and pointing etc.
Where to Next: I need to get on to Power Point and refamiliarise my self with the program. thankfully I have a very capable teachers aide/teacher in training who is very familiar with how it all works who is willing to help me with my small groups and to train me.
In my next BLOG I will outline the Tas Curriculum outcomes I am aiming to achieve.
Any one have any ideas or questions for me.
