Frustrated by DET NSW Filters
One month on my web2.0 journey and I still think I'm enjoying it, but some days it all seems just a bit crazy. 30 days ago I'd never blogged or wikied and now I find edna and moodle.WT? "Hang on sir, turbulance ahead".
My first attempt at a blog has been an eyeopener, but the best way for me to learn about these tools. Talk about steep learning curve, my brain hurts.
I'm passionate about student learning, not ICT, but if kids are excited by all this stuff, and can learn with these tools, then I want to be a part of it.
Just not sure yet of my priorities in using it effectively or efficiently in the classroom.Today, when I dropped the words twitter or bebo or ping, my year 10's just looked at me blankly..... whats it tell me? Not sure, but when we said myspace, facebook and NSW DET filters on google images,(and they can't use my wiki resources either) they all lit up with discussion.
They want to engage more with web2.0 but current restrictive filters are SO frustrating. In very quick time its turning me off even trying to integrate ICT more and DET NSW don't seem to get it..... sigh
enough ramble, last day tomorrow, then HOLIDAYS, Yippee Yi-ay.
