Education.au launches new Facebook for educators [edna Resources]

Media release 30 May 2008 Australian educators will have their own specialised professional Facebook site with the launch this Friday, May 30 of me.edu.au, a new site designed to get the countrys educators talking and sharing online. The Scuola Toscana is a school of Italian language and culture for foreign students, located in the heart of the historical centre of Florence. Courses are offered at all levels from beginner to advanced, and in addition to the language, students can study tourism, wine and cooking, art history, fashion and design and business. This workshop has been developed for vocational education and training (VET) staff who require either an annual health check on the services they provide to their VET learners; or to help new VET staff who have recently begun, or are about to begin, their VET career. This new workshop has been trialled in Brisbane, and its now coming to Sydney and Melbourne.

To feed your bookmarks from other services, copy the RSS feed URL from your bookmarks. In Delicious it is at the bottom LH of the page, eg http://feeds.delicious.com/v2/rss/yourname?count=15. Then back in me.edu.au go to MyView - Edit Profile - Feeds tab - and Add Feed name (eg Username's delicious bookmarks) and paste the feed URL. You can continue to bookmark in delicious and your bookmarks will also flow through automatically to me.edu.au
The philosophy behind me.edu.au is that educators can work in their preferred (or required) online environment and at the same time share ideas, bookmarks and blogs with other educators. me.edu.au works as an aggregator of education content across the web, using RSS standards to move resources between services. Thanks for being part of this education cloud.
