This paper, which was written for the US National Association of the State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEc), explores new ways of ensuring that high-quality career technical education is available and recognised as an essential component of the total educational system. This paper will specifically explore the value and possible strategies for adopting the processes used to develop curriculum and end-of-course assessments similar to the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. The paper provides a possible roadmap for developing educational materials for use in career technical education programs based upon a rigorous quality-based continuous improvement process.

John, do you have a url for your Exhibition? The WAB site looks gigantic and there's no front page PYP or Exhibition link.

Hi I am T-L at Western Academy of Beijing (WAB) - only been here since July 07. WAB is a World IB school PYP, MYP, IB. As my first international posting (originally from Brisbane, Australia and High School trained T-L it has been a truly fantastic experience working in Elementary school library and whilst aslo having the connection to the Middle schools and High School in my role os Whole School HEad of LIbrary. It has been a looking and listening and learning experience as to how PYP operates...and Only too happy to share experiences from WAB with this IB community. We too have just finished our Exhibition - and had wonderful success - when you witness over 300 parents and community reps come through the exhibition and see the kids direct everything - the mind boggles and there is a real sense of student achievement. Some of the results are on our website ...feel free to take a look... www.wab.edu JOhn
