The Indigenous Literacy Project is a partnership between The Fred Hollows Foundation, the Australian Publishers Association (APA), and the Australian Booksellers Associtation (ABA) with the goal to raise urgently needed funds for literacy for remote Indigenous communities. This report documents what was learnt as a range of government, education and human service organisations collaborated to build language, literacy and numeracy (LLN)1 capacity in a local government region. It's key findings are categorised as networking (past, present and future); building knowledge about educators and LLN learners; and access and circulation of information.
This annual festival celebrates the development and implementation of new ideas and applauds better ways of operating across all industries. Each of the events is hosted by an organisation actively working to promote innovation. The website includes current news on festival activities, details of sponsors and partners and information about festival-related opportunities.
This paper explains how to access the National Centre for Vocational Education Research's (NCVER) information sources. Special research topics are: adult literacy, indigenous people, people with a disability, and young people. There is information for researchers, and a list of what statistics are collected and when they are released.
