Web-based project tools comparison. Can you offer any advice?

As I didn't manage to blog during term 4 this entry will contain
highlights for the term as well as my hopes and aspirations for 2010.
In week 3 of term 4 we conducted our third virtual worlds pilot. What
was different about this one though, was that this pilot used the
OpenSim software rather than the previous Activeworlds. We were all
very relieved to find out that not only did it work, but that the 13
students from Riverside Girls' High School who participated all

I have not blogged for a while, simply because this term at MacICT has
been another busy one.

The Technology Leaders Project will inspire, develop and
support classroom teachers who are talented in technology to expand
their vision and skills, to explore innovative practice with their
students and to influence more effective use of technology in their schools.
All educational practitioners are invited to attend a showcase of
innovative technology projects undertaken by DET teachers as part of
an ongoing Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre initiative on
