This group brings together partners for the ASISTM project to explore learning with computer games.Computer Game Design, Programming, Multimedia and Mathematics will draw on the motivating power of computer games to improve outcomes in design, programming, multimedia and mathematics. Based on constructivist learning theory, it will develop computer club programs in cluster schools. A range of versatile programming tools (e.g. Gamemaker, Stagecast, Klick and Play) will be used to motivate and engage students. There will also be associated professional development courses, web resources and game programming forums. Outcomes will include web-based curriculum materials, teacher forums, teacher in-service, game programming competitions, case studies and student authored web pages.
