SA History Week has grown from modest beginnings in 2004 to become South Australia's largest community festival. In2011 the change of identity to About Time: South Australia's History Festival and the expansion of the program to a month reflects the success of the program, and has been made possible by a grant of funds from the SA Government to mark the 175th anniversary of the foundation of the Province of South Australia.
