I am a deputy principal enjoying the explosion of new technologies that are available in our lives. I teach English and enjoy involvement in the wider educational community; the English Teachers Association has provided some of the best PD of my career. I welcome change and the opportunity to make our schools more relevant to the lives of students. I believe that critical and multiliteracies are essential if we are to maintain and enhance our civil society. I'd like education to be real for students and and opportunity, rather than a chore or bore.
