- I have been teaching English as a Second Language since 2004 but began my career as an English and Society and Environment Teacher in 2001. My main priority is working with refugee students with limited schooling experiences to engage them in intensive early literacy and numeracy programs. Many of my students face additional challenges related to torture and trauma events in their recent past and so they also need a high level of social and emotional support.
