Thanks for getting back to me John, I'll try reinstalling Jing and see what happens.
Glad you like the badge idea: where will we find it when it becomes available? Tookit?

Hello John
You inspired me to download Jing - but I haven't managed to get it to work yet. It captures the screen ok, but then seems to freeze and doesn't progress to being able to edit or upload it.
I went to the History Summer School in Canberra, and became very interested in using the web for history teaching (I'm a primary librarian and I teach history units to my Y3-6 classes). I'm just learning to do Web 2.0 and have been busy this school holidays: I've uploaded my first history podcast to my practice blog http://lisahill.globalteacher.org.au/ !
I think Jing would be fabulous - if I can only make it work...

John, I need some help on how to add an image to my blog posting. I have uploaded an image into my space, but don't know where to go from there. When I click on the "insert an image" icon, it talks in terms of URLs. It is making me feel very klutz-like
Thanks for the info John. Here's a link you might be interested in.

hi John and thanks for all your messages. I am trying to make sense of this huge site. My flat classroom is one that Kim Cofino of Bangkok, Thailand uses, indicating that I now have the opportunity (and have done so) to teach students in other countries, work in real time on flat projects with students etc. I havent read the book you mentioned but I am sure that it would be a similar concept except that it hones it right down to our classroom. I find that my staffroom is completely flat as well and that I can grab, share and learn ideas from so many different educators around the world.
