Hello Leigh the software we are using for me.edu was developed in house from open source components and is also hosted here. In the case of edna Groups we used Moodle, also open source, so we get to add plug ins etc.and we also host it here. BTW me.edu is about to get a blog My only experience of Ning is through CrimeSpace but it is hard there to get a sense of community

Hi Leigh, it does take a bit of a headshift having a conversation this way. All the best for the Exhibition. PYP certainly seems to be popular in South Australia, so hopefully there will be something waiting for you when you come back. Cheers, Pru

It uses the IB, so I'm using the Primary Years Program, being a grade 5 teacher, and am loving it. We are in the last days of the culminating unit (Exhibition), with the big day on Wednesday. We've just been reviewed for re-authorisation for the IB and the reviewers gave a very glowing report to my co-teacher and me. I feel like I have something to offer to a PYP school when I return to Aus. Any schools in SA looking for someone in the last year of PYP?

Wow - I thought it was probably a mistype when I saw the location, but you are really the first person registered from Azerbaijan. What curriculum does the International School use there?

I've been teaching in Istanbul Feb-June 07 and then in Baku, Azerbaijan at the wonderful International School of Azerbaijan. I'm enjoying the school but the city is dirty and noisy. The country is a developing one and is democratic in name only.
